Automotive design project in RISD, Rhode Island School of Design. Based on Wolkswagen Golf, we developed new concept, which could be realised in future. We aimed to make futuristic concept, particuarlly inspired from the movie Tron. At the same time we preserved the VW brand identity as well as iconic design element of Golf into consistent design language.
Instead of conventional light bulb, the OLED surface on front bonnet works as a head light. Grill less, large logos on front and rear are inspired from the old Minibus Type II, which evokes iconic and friendly brand identity of the Volkswagen. To reduce wind drag, we conceptualised rear view cameras instead of normal side mirrors and handle less doors.
